IMSSC, International Medical Sciences Students Congress, is one of the world’s first medical students’ congress that is organized and run by students and students only. It is organized by Student Scientific Research Club in Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. Although the executive board and the organization committee members change every year, the tradition never changes and the quality is something SSRC can never let go.
Although the first original IMSSC of Istanbul Faculty of Medicine was in 1987, since 2006, due to an agreement signed between Cerrahpasa and Istanbul Medical Schools, SSRC organizes IMSSC once in two years. The official language of the three-day-long congress is English. The applications for active participation( presentations) are open to all students from all around the world. There are no specific requirements for the faculty of the student; any student with interest in medicine and a research on the topic can apply and present.
Similar to most other international congresses, through IMSSC there are a variety of workshops and several seminars by valued academicians and professionals in between the presentations.
26th International Medical Sciences Students Congress, which will take place in 4th-6th of May 2018, will be held in Istanbul Faculty of Med
Not unlike the previous congresses, all medicine-related research from students of any university, of any major are welcome in 26th IMSSC. The active participation applications, including the abstract submission is open until 14th February.
The previous 25 congresses SSRC had under its belt have been quite successful: Since the beginning it has been a road full of hardships and this eventually brought our understanding of organization and scientific endeavor to a new level. As a result, we always try to give our participants the best experience they could expect from a scientific congress. For 28 years with our both international and national congresses, seminars and additional activities we are spreading our curiosity and experience so that the doctors and researchers of tomorrow can have the chance to present their ideas and research to other interested fellow students.
This has been what IMSSC is about: A chance for young researchers to see pre-graduation what the future holds for them. Hopefully, 26th IMSSC will be no different than previous years in this aspect.
