IMSSC, International Medical Sciences Students Congress, is one of the world’s first medical students’ congress that is organized and run by students and students only. It is organized by Student Scientific Research Club in Istanbul Faculty of Medicine. Although the executive board and the organization committee members change every year, the tradition never changes and the quality is something SSRC can never let go.
Although the first original IMSSC of Istanbul Faculty of Medicine was in 1987, since 2006, due to an agreement signed between Cerrahpasa and Istanbul Medical Schools, SSRC organizes IMSSC once in two years. The official language of the three-day-long congress is English. The applications for active participation( presentations) are open to all students from all around the world. There are no specific requirements for the faculty of the student; any student with interest in medicine and a research on the topic can apply and present.
Similar to most other international congresses, through IMSSC there are a variety of workshops and several seminars by valued academicians and professionals in between the presentations.
26th International Medical Sciences Students Congress, which will take place in 4th-6th of May 2018, will be held in Istanbul Faculty of Med
Not unlike the previous congresses, all medicine-related research from students of any university, of any major are welcome in 26th IMSSC. The active participation applications, including the abstract submission is open until 14th February.
The previous 25 congresses SSRC had under its belt have been quite successful: Since the beginning it has been a road full of hardships and this eventually brought our understanding of organization and scientific endeavor to a new level. As a result, we always try to give our participants the best experience they could expect from a scientific congress. For 28 years with our both international and national congresses, seminars and additional activities we are spreading our curiosity and experience so that the doctors and researchers of tomorrow can have the chance to present their ideas and research to other interested fellow students.
This has been what IMSSC is about: A chance for young researchers to see pre-graduation what the future holds for them. Hopefully, 26th IMSSC will be no different than previous years in this aspect.

The International Medical Students’ Congress of Bucharest is annually organised by the Medical Student’s Society of Bucharest in December, keeping its tradition. The event dates back to 1997, when it was implemented as a national congress known as “The National Congress of Students and Young Physicians”. Due to the visible interest shown by not only medical students, but also young doctors, after 20 successful editions we decided to take a step further, abroad. After 2 decades of updating and reinventing itself, the Congress dissolved the borders and created a long-lasting network over the whole world. Therefore, we are glad to receive registrations from each and every continent, bringing the medical community closer. At the same time, we feel thankful for the opportunity to put Romania on the global medical map, combining in our vast scientific programme excellent Romanian Professors and renowned international speakers. Created with passion and care, the IMSCB is a yearly occasion not only to develop your medical knowledge, but also to achieve and practice your skills in any specialty. The congress offers the amazing chance to discover yourself, fructify your passion and learn to love the art of medicine.
This year’s event will take place between the 5th and the 9th of December 2018, in the capital city of Romania, Bucharest. For more information, visit our website at https://ssmbucharest.ro/. We are looking forward to meeting you!

Zagreb International Medical Summitis a place of constant exchange of experience, presentation of scientific papers and acquisition of new knowledge from colleagues and invited professors in medical science. Further on, the general idea of ZIMS is to promote the city of Zagreb as a cultural and youth centre, and therefore city sightseeing, workshops and evening gatherings are an important part of the agenda.
It is important to mention that ZIMSis the only conference where young students and not yet affirmed scientist have access to the world of publishing, thus becoming the one of a few conferences in Europe where the book of abstracts is published as a supplement to a prestigious medical journal, ‘Liječnički vjesnik’, which is indexed in EMBASE/Index Medicus. Moreover, the best works are published as full texts. Consequently, the highest quality of an abstract, which goes through strict criteria process, is mandatory. As we know how important the presentation of a project is, we expect you to represent your work either orally or as a poster.
