The AIMS Clinical Competition is a multi-phase challenge designed to recognize and reward clinical excellence. As part of the AIMS Meeting 2026 scientific program, powered by Luz Learning Health, this competition invites teams of four to put their knowledge to the test by solving clinical cases. Participants begin with multiple-choice questions and progress to high-fidelity simulation rounds, where their clinical reasoning, practical approach, teamwork, and ability to formulate differential diagnoses are rigorously evaluated.

How We Can Work

FAQs

Only medical students in clinical years (4th, 5th, and 6th) can formally register as teams. Students in basic years (1st to 3rd) or individual participants may still answer the Preliminary Round questions individually and compete for the Audience Award.

Formal participation requires a team of four. However, individual students from basic years can answer the Preliminary Round questions and be eligible for the Audience Award.

It’s a special prize for the best-performing individual participant from basic years who is not formally registered in a team. It’s based on performance in the Preliminary Round.

Teams must register through the XII AIMS Masterclasses ticket (Single or Double) by October 22nd, 2025. Late registration is possible until October 29th via lecture tickets or a separate form on the website, subject to availability.

All team members are required to purchase a ticket and indicate their intention to take part in the competition.

The top four teams advance to the Semi-Final and Final Rounds, which take place during the SimSchool Med simulation course by Luz Learning Health. This course prepares teams for high-fidelity clinical scenarios.
