Professor Carlos Vara Luiz is an internationally renowned neurosurgeon, currently working as Head of Neurosurgey at Hospital Lusíadas Lisboa. He was the President of the Portuguese Neurosurgery Society between 2014 and 2016 and started his position as President of the Portuguese College of Neurosurgery in 2017. Since 2019 he is the Director of Neurosciences at Central Lisbon Hospital Center. Professor Carlos Luiz has a postgraduation in Healthcare Units Management and a PhD degree in Biomedicine.
